DIRECTOR OF WAXFLOWER BRIDAL // Kathy Holdsworth
My Background
I absolutely love everything bridal and fashion - especially when the two combine! Before opening my boutique, I was lucky enough to work in the luxury bridal industry for fourteen years. I worked for a British bridal accessories desginer and became a senior stylist and manger of a well-known bridal boutique in the UK.
This experience helped me to build a wealth of knowledge about the industry, and fuelled my passion and dream to open my very own boutique. During those eleven years I received a BA HONS Degree in Footwear Design and Making from Cordwainers at The London College of Fashion. Whilst there, I made footwear for Tommy Hilifigier, Commes des Garcons and Topshop etc. I was also lucky enough to do an amazing internship at Rebecca Taylor's Fashion House in New York, and in London at ' Browns Focus' and 'Emmy London', and in Bristol for 'Hermione Harbutt'. I learnt SO much invaluable info about the fashion industry and am proud to be able to share this through Waxflower Bridal.
From all of my amazing experiences and my designing studies at The London College of Fashion, I have come to understand and appreciate beautiful craftsmanship and the quality of pieces. I understand how the use of beautiful fabrics and the cut is SO important. A good cut and the use of exquisite fabric, makes you feel and look amazing! That is why I stock the designers that I do, they are the best!

Even after you have chosen your Waxflower Bridal dress or outfit, I love when my brides contact me for advice on their shoes or accessories. I truly care and love being a part of the entire process of putting your bridal style together to make sure you feel the very best version of yourself on your wedding day.
WHY CALL THE BOUTIQUE WAXFLOWER BRIDAL?
Why the name ‘Waxflower Bridal'? Well, the Waxflower is a beautiful small flower (perfect as a bridal bouquet filler!) which in the language of flowers means 'Everlasting love', so romantic hey!? I thought it would be a very fitting name for a boutique assisting brides in celebrating the everlasting love they have found.
